Dylan Stein is a licensed acupuncturist in New York and a nationally certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. He graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine – New York (PCOM), and holds a Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. Traditional Oriental Medicine is the combined arts of acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary therapy and Tuina medical massage. While at PCOM, Dylan won multiple awards for scholarship in the field of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Before becoming a student of acupuncture and herbal medicine, Dylan completed premedical studies at New York University while working as a Research Associate at NYU School of Medicine in the Center for AIDS Research and the Department of Environmental Medicine. Thanks to the influence of his grandfather, Dylan has been interested in holistic healthcare since he was a teenager, first learning to use diet to achieve wellness. He maintains his interest in nutrition through seasonal and local eating.
For 3 years while in graduate school, Dylan was mentored by well-known fertility and herbal medicine expert, Adele Reising, LAc. During his mentorship, Dylan studied the treatment of pain conditions, fertility, herbal medicine and the study of classical Chinese medical texts. As a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese medicine, Dylan’s interests focus on dermatology, pain management and men’s health concerns, including male infertility (Male Factor infertility). He is currently completing post-graduate studies in Chinese herbal medicine dermatology at the Avicenna Centre in London and studying Master Tung’s acupuncture with two teachers in this lineage.
While not working in the health and wellness field, Dylan volunteers with local equality and justice organizations.
Dylan Stein is a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY), the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM), and the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA). Dylan is also an Associate Member of National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.
